Layer 2 Ethernet switches RUGGEDCOM RST916P and RST916C are designed to provide reliable connectivity for high bandwidth applications in Electric power, Transportation, Oil & Gas and other critical infrastructure industries. Use the Selector to configure and buy the right product for your needs.
A single RUGGEDCOM RST916P compact switch packs enough features to power all your end-devices and makes for a truly future-proof PoE networking solution. It delivers IEEE 802.3bt compliant Power-over-Ethernet with up to 60 W power per port. It can support a total PoE power budget of up to 420 W across 10 PoE ports, without the need for separate extenders or modules – placing it in a league of its own in the industry. Power up the OT edge with the RUGGEDCOM RST916P and the rugged Power-over-Ethernet power supply, the RUGGEDCOM RPS2410.
Award-winning design of the RSG900C series of switches, the RUGGEDCOM RST916P and RST916C further enhance the user experience with functional features such as all front-facing ports and connectors, including the USB console and CLP for configuration. These switches are DIN-rail mountable and ideal for space constrained cabinets due to their compact form factor. This reduces in-field installation time while also simplifying configuration and maintenance.
Power-over-Ethernet (PoE) Layer 2 switch is ideal for powering PoE end-devices in space-constrained roadside and wayside cabinets in Intelligent Transportation Systems and Rail networks. The RST916P is tested and certified to the European EN-50155, EN-50121 and the NEMA TS2 Transportation standards, ensuring reliable connectivity even in harsh environmental conditions. With 10 Gbit/s uplinks and long-haul fibre optics with Gigabit bandwidth for up to 115km, it is a future-proof connectivity solution for rapidly evolving complex Transportation and physical security applications.
The RUGGEDCOM RST916C switch is well-suited for space-constrained cabinets, such as those used in Electric Power substations and Intelligent Transportation Systems. This compact layer 2 switch features multiple high voltage (HI) and low Voltage (LO) integrated power supply options, Gigabit Ethernet and IEEE1588 v2 Precision Time Protocol support
